This year we finish off with great news.

Second time in a row this year, EKO INICIATIVA was commended on an international level, this time in the awards for the cleaning and hygiene sector - European Cleaning and Hygiene Awards 2017. Among over 140 entries from across Europe, VALTEX from Slovenia, as the initiator of the community, was judged to be among the very best 4 entrants in the category Distributors Excellence in added value initiatives. European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards is an annual competition awarding companies which excel in terms of sustainability, innovation and driving up standards.

The credit is given of course to the whole community, all EKO INICIATIVA members - Slovenian companies, public institutions, schools, kindergartens etc. who consistently implement sustainable professional hygiene. With each sheet of recycled sanitary paper from secondary raw material – UBC (Used Beverage Carton) – which is now already used by more than 180 members of EKO INICIATIVA in Slovenia, we are intensely reducing our environmental footprint.

With such sustainable consumption of sanitary paper, so far we were able to preserve 20.000 trees from being cut down!

We are happy to see more companies in Slovenia are joining our initiative and are moving in the sustainable direction. It’s basically a decision to make daily business profitable in a way that is good for the environment and good for people.

With small changes and steps, one can achieve a significant impact, and together we can achieve even more. Circular culture is truly in our hands, all we need is a small shift. The received award therefore goes to all of us who are an important part of circular economy.
